Privacy Policy
GA4 Inspector Chrome extension. Last updated: 2025.
Data we do not collect
The Extension does not collect or use your GA4 event data for marketing analytics, profiling, or advertising. We also do not collect personally identifiable information (PII) through the Extension.
GA4 Inspector Extension Data Usage (PDF export)
When you request a PDF export, the Extension sends the GA4 events from the current session and limited technical context (such as page URL and basic browser/device information) to our secure report-generation service over HTTPS. This data is used solely to assemble the PDF report and is not intentionally stored in our systems beyond what is necessary to process the request. We do not use this data for additional analytics, advertising, or profiling.
Data stored locally
Outside of the PDF export flow described above, all captured events, clicks, and session data are stored only on your device (using Chrome's local storage). If you use "Restore purchase," your license key is stored locally to validate your Pro subscription. We do not store your email or identity in the Extension.
License validation
To validate a Pro license, the Extension may send your license key and an anonymous install identifier to our license validation service. No website URLs or GA4 payloads are sent. Validation responses are cached locally for a short period (e.g. 24 hours) to reduce network requests.
Optional product analytics
If you enable "Help improve the product" (optional), we may send anonymous usage events (e.g. feature used, version, plan type). We do not send page URLs, GA4 data, or any information about the sites you visit.
Third parties
If you purchase a Pro subscription, payment and customer data are handled by our payment provider (e.g. Lemon Squeezy). Their privacy policy applies to that data. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising.
Your rights (e.g. GDPR)
You can object to optional product analytics by leaving the "Help improve the product" option disabled. You can clear local data by clearing the Extension's storage or uninstalling the Extension. For requests or questions, contact us at the support address provided in the Chrome Web Store listing.
Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised when we do.
